Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support students across a wide range of grade levels, from early childhood through high school. This contract position is based in Palo Alto, CA, and involves working within a school setting to provide tailored educational support to students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities- Deliver individualized instruction and interventions for students with special needs across grade levels, including Pre-K through 12th grade.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and strategies.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of academic and behavioral performance.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success.
- Utilize math skills to support student learning objectives in relevant coursework.
- Valid teaching credential or certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with multiple grade levels, particularly in elementary (K-5), middle (6-8), and high school (9-12) settings.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education and developmental milestones.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with mathematics instruction is an asset.
