Part-Time Licensed Clinical Supervisor

Position

Description

The Part-Time Licensed Clinical Supervisor position focuses on direct supervision of students as a licensed supervisor for second-year graduate students in their first year of clinical training at Clinics @ PAU.

Summary

The Part-Time Licensed Clinical Supervisor role is centered on direct supervision and evaluation of student therapists, review of documentation, and risk shift coverage. This role may supervise in the more generalist-focused Community Clinic or in the LGBTQ-focused Sexual and Gender Identities Clinic (SGIC) if qualified. Supervisors working part-time typically work 7-16 hours week depending on the number of practicum student supervises they are supervising (3-6 students).

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

The responsibilities described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The list of duties serves to provide examples, rather than limit the scope of work assignments.

Supervise 3-6 practicum students in their first year of clinical training: 1 hour of individual supervision per student and one 2-hour group per week;
Note that students are required to receive one hour on average per week of supervision face-to-face at the clinic which may be either their group or individual supervision

Review/editing of student notes, reports, and video review

Provide on-site and/or remote risk coverage proportional to clinic staffing and needs (typically 3-5 hours/week)

Reviewing/editing risk management notes

Writing student evaluations once per quarter and reviewing the evaluation with each supervisee in supervision. Creating a remediation plan for students who are not meeting the clinical competencies (when needed), and submitting to Clinic Director.

Provide 2 hours of didactic training every quarter for supervises across the clinic

Writing letters of recommendation in Winter quarter

Joining Clinic Directors with select administrative and clinical tasks as needed (record reviews, etc).

Attending supervisor meetings every other week

Participating in training year orientation and other new training initiatives as needed

Working closely with the Clinic Directors to develop and maintain a culture of high quality, evidence-based supervision, and training at the clinic.

Participating in SGIC programming including quarterly SGIC intensives for supervisors working in the SGIC
