About Wing
Wing offers drone delivery as a safe, fast, and sustainable solution for last mile logistics. Consumer appetites for on‑demand services are increasing, but current delivery methods are inefficient, costly, and contribute to road accidents and air pollution. Wing’s fleet of highly automated delivery drones can transport small packages directly from businesses to homes on‑demand, in minutes. We design, build, and operate our aircraft, and offer drone delivery services on two continents.
Our technology is designed to be easy to integrate into existing delivery and logistics networks, offering a scalable drone delivery solution for a broad range of businesses. Wing is a part of Google’s parent company, Alphabet, and our mission is to create the preferred means of delivery for the planet. If you’re ready to do the greatest work of your life, come join us.

- Design, generate electrical schematics and bring‑up circuit board assemblies for high‑density power electronic converters (motor inverters/ESCs, DC/DC converters, battery chargers) from concept through to production.
- Lead evaluation, selection, and integration of battery cells, battery management systems (BMS), and overall battery pack designs.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of power electronics, motors, and battery systems at component, subsystem, and system levels.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (mechanical, embedded, GNC and systems engineers) to ensure seamless integration and optimal aircraft performance.
- Contribute to selection of components, schematic capture, and PCB layout guidance for power circuits.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to power electronics, motors, or batteries in existing and new designs.
- Stay current with emerging technologies in power electronics, motor design, and battery technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded, or Computer Hardware Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of design experience in an electronics production environment, including packaging, integration, cost reduction, sourcing and transition from engineering to manufacturing.
- Solid understanding of various motor types (especially BLDC) and their control techniques (FOC, sensorless).
- Demonstrated experience in evaluation, testing, and characterization of lithium‑ion batteries and BMS.
- Hands‑on experience with lab equipment for testing and debugging power electronics, motors, and battery systems (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, dynamo meters, battery cyclers).
- Applied experience with interface technologies: CAN, USB, I²C, RS232, and Ethernet.
- Experience with Python for data collection, analysis, and automation tools.
