Role SummaryReliability is at the core of Electric Adventure Vehicles. We are looking for engineers who have experience in bringing products from the early concept stages to production by working closely with design, validation, and manufacturing teams on solving technical problems along the way to make the most robust products. - As a Systems Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in designing reliability into the core of all Rivian products from concept to production phases.
- Collaborate closely with Attribute, Warranty, Design, and Product Line teams to define and establish the necessary reliability requirements for all new Rivian products, ensuring a superior customer experience.
- Develop and maintain reliability models to accurately predict performance and drive the establishment of next-generation hardware reliability requirements.
- Support the development of voice of customer vehicle testing to help understand the hardware and software integration robustness of Rivian products.
- Set and communicate Reliability requirements and targets for Rivian products and work with other reliability engineers to cascade those targets to sub‑system and component level requirements.
- Analyze warranty claims, field returns, and in‑service data to measure the performance of Rivian products in the field against design targets to determine where reliability growth is needed for future programs.
- Minimum requirement is a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Preferably one or more years of industry experience in a reliability engineering role. Level of Role depends on experience and qualifications. In addition, a strong technical background and interest in reliability.
- Experience with facilitating FMEAs and leading cross‑functional teams.
- Experience with large data analysis tools.
- Working knowledge of reliability statistical methods.
- Working knowledge of a coding language, preferably Python.
- Working knowledge of statistical software for reliability, such as JMP or the Relia Soft suite.

The salary range for this role is $146,900 - $183,600 for California based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.
The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.
