System Integration Engineer

Focus on integrating and validating hardware and firmware for grid-connected storage solutions across residential, industrial, and utility levels. Collaborate with a passionate team to optimize energy resources, including batteries, solar, electric vehicles, and appliances, to reduce reliance on the grid and lower energy costs.
Responsibilities- Own the end-to-end hardware and firmware integration of battery and solar energy products.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate functions, features, and system performance.
- Lead and manage system-level firmware validation, regression, and releases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure functional, performance, safety, and compliance requirements are met.
- Drive continuous improvement in design and performance by providing feedback to design owners.
- Develop and maintain interface control documentation.
- Conduct failure analysis to understand root causes and drive resolution for hardware and firmware failures.
- Develop and maintain automated firmware tests in Python.
- Engage in hands‑on system bring up and prototyping.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience in hardware and firmware integration and validation.
- Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering.
- Proficiency in Python, C, C++, Go, or equivalent programming languages.
- Hands‑on experience with electrical, mechanical, and software engineering components.
- Proficiency with basic electrical engineering tools such as scopes, power analyzers, and electronic loads.
- Exceptional analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with stationary energy storage systems, solar inverters, electric vehicles, or home energy management systems.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palo Alto, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
