Facilities Technician
Facilities Monitoring Technician specializing in Data Centers
Ensure the uninterrupted and efficient operation of our data center facilities using our monitoring tools for various critical systems, including power distribution, cooling, security, and environmental controls. Require keen attention to detail, proactive approach to problem-solving, and technical expertise will be essential in minimizing any potential downtime.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring:
Continuously monitor data center systems and infrastructure using advanced monitoring tools and systems including in person field checks - Alert Response:
Respond promptly to alarms, alerts, and notifications, diagnosing issues and initiating appropriate escalation. - Environmental Controls Involved:
Temperature, Humidity, Air Quality. - Power Distribution:
Monitor power distribution systems, including uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and generators, to ensure stable and reliable electrical supply. - Cooling Systems:
Monitor cooling systems, including Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) units and HVAC systems, to maintain proper temperature levels for data center equipment. - Documentation:
Keep detailed records of all activities, incidents, and maintenance tasks performed within the data center. - Emergency Response:
Be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as power outages, equipment failures, or security breaches, and follow established protocols to minimize impact.
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate or annual salary only, unless otherwise stated.
