Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Engineer – Safety & Multimedia / Audio & Camera (iRDK) to enable the safety monitor subsystem and multimedia bring-up (audio and camera) for the AMD iRDK platform. The selected candidate will play a key role in the Ok2

Book Proof of Concept (POC) by integrating, validating, and optimizing safety, camera, and audio subsystems while collaborating closely with AMD engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate and validate the Safety Monitor Subsystem on the AMD iRDK platform, including watchdogs, error detection, and FTTI (Fault Tolerant Time Interval) validation.
• Lead Camera Subsystem Bring-up, including: MIPI CSI-2, ISP integration, V4L2, Camera HAL, frame capture validation.
• Lead Audio Subsystem Bring-up, including: audio codec integration, ALSA, Audio HAL, audio latency measurement and optimization.
• Collaborate directly with AMD engineering teams on safety and multimedia driver integration and support.
• Troubleshoot platform integration issues and ensure stable subsystem functionality.
• Support validation, testing, documentation, and Proof of Concept milestones.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with embedded Linux and Android platform development.
• Hands-on experience with Safety Monitor integration and validation.
• Experience with Camera Bring-up, including MIPI CSI-2, ISP, V4L2, and Camera HAL.
• Experience with Audio Bring-up, including ALSA, Audio HAL, and codec integration.
• Knowledge of watchdogs, error detection, and safety validation methodologies.
• Experience collaborating with chipset or hardware vendors on driver enablement.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in embedded systems.
