Job Description & How to Apply Below

As a Power Engineer, you will own end-to-end power architecture for Aria’s data center Ethernet switch platforms, from front-end AC/DC bulk supply through board-level power delivery networks. You will solve the core challenges of delivering clean, high-density power to next-generation switching ASICs while meeting thermal, regulatory, and reliability constraints in 1U/2U form factors. This role drives vendor management, DVT execution, and PMBus/I2C telemetry and control scheme definition and validation.

Scope spans concept through first customer ship and sustaining engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end power architecture for Aria’s switch platforms, defining system-level power budgets, topologies, and sequencing from front-end AC/DC bulk supply through point-of-load delivery
  • Specify, source, and qualify front-end bulk AC/DC power supplies, including design review, development oversight, and regulatory compliance coordination with vendors
  • Design and validate board-level discrete analog and digital power supply circuits for high-current, high-density switching ASIC applications
  • Define and implement PMBus and I2C-based power telemetry and control schemes, including fault management, margining, and real-time monitoring
  • Lead electrical design verification testing (DVT) for switch and router systems, covering power sequencing, transient response, efficiency, and fault scenarios
  • Manage power supply vendors through full development cycles, including design reviews, qualification testing, and regulatory certification (UL, CE, 80 Plus, etc.)
  • Partner with thermal engineering to optimize power delivery layout, loss budgets, and airflow constraints within dense 1U/2U chassis
  • Support hardware through first customer ship and into sustaining, driving root cause analysis and corrective action on power-related field issues
Qualifications
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of experience in power architecture and design for networking switches or data center hardware
  • Hands-on experience with front-end bulk AC/DC power supply specification, architecture, design, and test
  • Proven board-level discrete analog and digital power supply design skills, including magnetics selection, layout review, and lab validation
  • Direct experience with PMBus and I2C-based power telemetry and control, including register-level configuration and fault handling
  • Track record of managing power supply vendors through design, development, testing, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience executing electrical DVT on networking switch or router systems, including test plan development and sign-off
  • Experience with combined thermal and electrical DVT on high-density networking platforms is a significant plus
  • Familiarity with OCP power specifications and rack-level power delivery standards preferred
  • Prior hands-on work on high-density 1U/2U switch or router platforms is a significant plus
