Float Relationship Banker

• Build relationships with customers through face-to-face meetings and engagement where they need counsel
• Assess and attend to customers’ banking needs
• Obtain and process customer and account information
• Educate clients on deposit and loan products and services
• Recommend financial solutions based on customers’ goals and needs
• Originate and close consumer loans
• Open accounts and open and/or close the branch
• Build and foster client relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up
• Identify solutions for new and existing clients
• Maintain working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and digital services
• Greet clients and process basic transactions
• Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners
• Open consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications
• Educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products
• Leverage resources and technologies to optimize client experience and operational accuracy

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relationship Banker 2:
  Typically has a minimum four to five years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
• Senior Relationship Banker:
  Typically has five or more years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
• Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up
• Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
• Thorough or advanced knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems
• Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services
• Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
• Experience in participating in sales campaigns/promotions
• Experience using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
• Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital-first mindset
• Demonstrated advanced proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer needs reactively and proactively
• Experience in the financial services industry preferred
• National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration required under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
• Required NMLS registration process includes a criminal background and credit check
• Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and workplace conduct and safety policies

Demonstrates advanced proficiency in building client relationships and providing tailored financial solutions, leveraging thorough knowledge of retail banking products and digital services. Proven ability to engage clients effectively and comply with banking regulations and policies.
