As AI systems scale and intellectual property becomes programmable, the regulatory environment will play a critical role in defining how these technologies develop. Story is building infrastructure designed to support transparent, compliant, and globally accessible IP systems.

We are seeking a Government Relations Lead to shape and represent Story’s policy engagement across AI, intellectual property, and blockchain.

You will work closely with leadership to develop Story’s regulatory strategy and represent the company in discussions with policymakers, industry groups, and regulatory bodies. This role requires a strong understanding of emerging technology policy and the ability to translate complex regulatory developments into clear strategic guidance.

This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to help define how programmable intellectual property and AI-native infrastructure fit into the evolving regulatory landscape.

• Build and manage relationships with policymakers, regulators, and industry organizations

• Represent Story in policy discussions related to AI, intellectual property, and blockchain infrastructure

• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments and assess their impact on Story’s products and ecosystem

• Develop policy positions and briefing materials for leadership and external stakeholders

• Advise leadership on regulatory risks and strategic opportunities

• Support participation in working groups, industry forums, and public consultations

• Help shape Story’s long-term policy strategy across key jurisdictions

• 5+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or regulatory strategy

• Experience working on technology policy related to AI, digital assets, data policy, or intellectual property

• Strong understanding of regulatory processes and policy development

• Experience engaging policymakers and external stakeholders

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to translate complex policy developments into actionable guidance

• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, early-stage environment

• Experience working in blockchain or AI companies

• Experience with intellectual property policy

• Experience engaging with standards bodies or industry associations

• Experience working across multiple jurisdictions
