Location Palo Alto CA ONSITE About Summit Summit Therapeutics Inc is a biopharmaceutical oncology company with a mission focused on improving quality of life increasing potential duration of life and resolving serious unmet medical needs At Summit we believe in building a team of world class professionals who are passionate about this mission and it is our people who drive this mission to reality Summits core values include integrity passion for excellence purposeful urgency collaboration and our commitment to people Our employees are truly the heart and soul of our culture and they are invaluable in shaping our journey toward excellence Summits team is inspired to touch and help change lives through Summits clinical studies in the field of oncology Summit has multiple global Phase 3 clinical studies including Non small Cell Lung Cancer NSCLC HARMONi Phase 3 clinical study which was intended to evaluate ivonescimab combined with chemotherapy compared to placebo plus chemotherapy in patients with EGFR mutated locally advanced or metastatic non squamous NSCLC who were previously treated with a 3rd generation EGFR TKI HARMONi 3 Phase 3 clinical study which is intended to evaluate ivonescimab combined with chemotherapy compared to pembrolizumab combined with chemotherapy in patients with first line metastatic NSCLC HARMONi 7 Phase 3 clinical study which is intended to evaluate ivonescimab monotherapy compared to pembrolizumab monotherapy in patients with first line metastatic NSCLC Colorectal Cancer CRC HARMONi GI3 Phase 3 clinical study intended to evaluate ivonescimab in combination with chemotherapy compared with bevacizumab plus chemotherapy Ivonescimab is an investigational therapy not presently approved by any regulatory authority other than Chinas National Medical Products Administration NMPA Summit is headquartered in Miami Florida and has additional offices in California New Jersey the UK and Ireland Overview of Role The HR Business Partner will act as a credible business oriented solution provider and trusted partner in relation to people culture and human resources needs This role will be involved with the hiring talent employee experience talent reviews and performance management employee relations and organizational design work for your respective functions The HRBP take responsibility for driving people outcomes and will be a doer problem solver team builder and an effective communicator with a passion for excellence Role and Responsibilities Translate business challenges and strategic priorities into actionable tailored HR initiatives by developing and executing comprehensive strategy Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs participate in the recruitment process for specific roles senior level and make recommendations for hiring decisions Assist in developing onboarding plans and programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires May co facilitates new employee on boarding program for new hires Support performance management processes including performance discussions and career development discussions Partners with management on improving organizational effectiveness by analyzing departmental structures and evaluating options studying resources and ensuring optimal utilization assessing team member engagement moral and effectiveness and developing strategic action plans Proactively identify and address critical organizational and people issues and remove barriers impeding the success of the business Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR peers to develop solutions programs and policies Acts as a trusted advisor and point of contact for employees and managers regarding policies procedures and employment related matters Provide guidance support and solutions for employee relations issues and conflict resolution Stay updated on employment laws regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks All other duties as assigned Experience Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills Bachelors degree in human resources Business Administration or related field;

required Must have at least 3 years experience in the Life Sciences Pharmaceuticals or Medical Device industry Minimum of 8 years in human resources with proven results Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws PHRSPHRGPHR Certification preferred Proven ability to challenge and motivate management teams in an atmosphere of mutual respect Able to forecast and analyze business trends Ability to effectively utilize HR dashboard metrics with business groups Uses and is familiar investigative techniques and teaches others Strong foundation and knowledge of HR principles and practice including employment law and compliance requirements Excellent interpersonal negotiation verbal and written communication skills Proven knowledge of full lifecycle recruiting components to include sourcing;
