IT Project Manager, IT Consultant
Technical Program Manager
-Enterprise Systems, Infrastructure, & IT Operations / Extendable, W2 only, 6-month Contract / Hybrid or remote / Palo Alto, CA
- Lead end-to-end delivery of IT programs spanning enterprise systems, infrastructure, and operational initiatives.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and roadmaps aligned to business and technical priorities.
- Identify dependencies, risks, and constraints, and communicate mitigation plans.
- Manage budgets, resources, and vendor deliverables as needed.
- Collaborate with enterprise systems teams (ERP, finance, HRIS, supply chain, CRM), infrastructure, and IT operations.
- Facilitate alignment between business stakeholders, technical leads, and executive sponsors.
- Contribute to PMO governance frameworks and standardized processes.
- Establish consistent project intake, prioritization, and portfolio management practices.
- Mentor team members and champion continuous improvement.
- Provide clear status reports and executive-level presentations summarizing progress and risks.
- Ensure documentation, meeting notes, and project materials are complete and up to date.
- Partner with business teams on change management, go-live readiness, and post-launch stabilization.
- Strong experience managing complex technical programs in an IT organization.
- Background delivering projects in at least two of the following areas:
- Infrastructure (network, data center, servers, storage, cloud).
- Demonstrated ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience managing vendors, partners, and cross-functional work streams.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive clarity in ambiguous situations.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives with competing priorities.
- Experience with setting up and managing projects in Jira and Confluence.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Agile, Waterfall, ITIL, and hybrid models.
- Ability to create and maintain effective project documents, dashboards, and reports.
- Experience contributing to or establishing PMO governance and standards.
- Experience with enterprise portfolio management tools.
- Comfort working in environments undergoing transformation or modernization.
- Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, CSM, ITIL Foundation, or SAFe credentials.
- Experience with cloud platforms and modern enterprise SaaS ecosystems.
- Background with integrations, data flows, and cross-system dependencies.
Pay for this position is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. As a contractor you may also be eligible for health benefits such as health, dental, and vision as well as access to a 401K plan.
