Mundane is a venture-backed seed-stage robot learning startup founded by a team of Stanford researchers and builders. We’re deploying a massive fleet of humanoid robots to perform mundane tasks in commercial environments, collecting data to build the next generation of embodied intelligence. We’re a fast-paced, execution-driven team of engineers, roboticists, and dreamers.
About the RoleAs a Technical Product Manager
, you will drive coordination across hardware product development, software integration, and robot learning teams. You’ll ensure complex, multi-disciplinary programs move with clarity, alignment, and velocity—from early hardware builds through integrated software releases and ML-enabled deployment.
This is a high-ownership, deeply technical role for someone who thrives on orchestrating cross-functional engineering efforts. You will build structured execution frameworks, manage dependencies, mitigate risks, and keep system-level milestones on track as we scale our humanoid fleet.
Responsibilities- Lead cross-functional programs spanning hardware, embedded systems, software integration, and robot learning.
- Build and maintain clear project plans, milestones, and dependency tracking across teams.
- Align hardware development cycles with software releases and ML integration timelines.
- Drive system-level integration and fleet release coordination to ensure production reliability.
- Identify risks early and coordinate mitigation plans to maintain execution momentum.
- 5+ years of experience in technical product management within robotics or complex hardware environments.
- Demonstrated success coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of hardware development life cycles and software release processes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills in fast-paced, ambiguity-heavy environments.
- Experience working at the intersection of hardware and ML systems.
- Background in robotics, autonomous systems, or AI-driven products.
- Experience supporting deployed hardware or fleet-scale systems.
- Ownership of high-impact, cross-company programs central to humanoid robot deployment.
- Early equity with meaningful upside in a venture-backed robotics company.
- Direct exposure across hardware, controls, integration, ML, and fleet operations.
- A foundational role in scaling embodied intelligence from prototype to production.
