Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly technical Staff IT Cloud Network Engineer to join our fast‑paced, high‑growth organization. In this role, you will drive the architecture, implementation, and support of our cloud network solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage deep expertise in cloud networking and routing technologies, collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure cloud network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure network architectures in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Configure and manage virtual networks, subnets, routing tables, VPNs, NAT gateways, and firewalls across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Proactively collaborate with Dev Ops teams to integrate networking with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Deploy and manage hybrid cloud connectivity solutions such as AWS Direct Connect, Azure Express Route, and GCP Cloud Interconnect.
  • Build and mature observability for cloud network deployments, monitoring performance and availability using native and third‑party tools.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective, lasting solutions.
  • Implement and maintain network security controls, including Network Access Control Lists (NACLs), Security Groups, and network segmentation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network designs, standards, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent military experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in network engineering, with a significant focus on cloud environments.
  • Strong, hands‑on experience with one or more major cloud providers: AWS (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53), Azure (VNet, NSG, Express Route), or GCP (VPC, Cloud Interconnect).
  • Solid understanding of fundamental networking protocols and concepts, including TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and firewalls.
  • Demonstrated experience with hybrid cloud networking and deploying VPN/IPSec tunneling solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional cloud certification (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with cloud‑native monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Cloud Watch, Azure Monitor, Datadog).
  • Scripting skills in Python or another relevant language for network automation.
