# Applicant Portal:## Job Details: L3 Infrastructure Engineer|  | L3 Infrastructure Engineer ||  |  ||  | We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L3 Infrastructure Engineer to provide advanced technical support, infrastructure management, and strategic IT solutions for a prestigious London-based client. This role demands a deep understanding of enterprise IT environments, including servers, networking, virtualisation, security, and cloud platforms.
As an L3 Engineer, you will act as the escalation point for complex technical issues, lead critical infrastructure projects, and drive IT optimisation and automation. You will work closely with L2 engineers, technical account management, and stakeholders, ensuring seamless IT operations in a high-pressure, business-critical environment. ||  | Advanced Technical Support & Troubleshooting:  
• Serve as the final escalation point for complex IT incidents and critical system failures.  
• Perform deep-dive troubleshooting across Windows, Linux, VMware, Citrix, M365, Azure AD, SQL, and Dev Ops environments.  
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for high-impact issues and provide long-term solutions.  
• Optimise and troubleshoot enterprise mobility (Ivanti Neurons, UEM, UMS, iPads, tablets).  
• Mentor and support L1/L2 engineers, sharing expertise and best practices.
Infrastructure & System Architecture:  
• Manage and optimise Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022), Linux, Active Directory, Exchange (2016/2019/Online), and SharePoint (2016/Online).  
• Oversee and enhance virtualisation platforms (VMware ESX, vCenter, Update Manager, Citrix Xen App/Xen Desktop, Netscaler, RSA, FSLogix).  
• Architect and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam Backup, Replication, iLand, Veeam One, Veeam Monitor).  
• Configure and manage SANs, HP Servers, replication, UPS, and high-availability environments.  
• Configure, manage, and utilise PRTG Enterprise Monitoring for incident and problem management, and driving optimisation using the platform    Networking & Security:  
• Lead troubleshooting and optimisation of enterprise networks (DNS/DHCP, routing, switching, Meraki, Silver Peak, VPNs, VoIP, Brocade Fibre, Palo Alto Networks, HPE, Cisco switches).  
• Support and enhance enterprise security policies, ensuring firewall, VPN, and cloud security best practices.  
• Work closely with network architects to design and implement secure, scalable solutions.  
• Implement security solutions with fluency on key platforms including Darktrace, Zscaler, and Crowd Strike.
Dev Ops & Cloud Optimisation:  
• Manage and support Dev Ops pipelines (Git Hub, Git Lab, Azure Dev Ops, Visual Studio, Python, Visual Basic).  
• Automate infrastructure tasks using Power Shell, Python, or other scripting tools.  
• Optimise SQL environments (SQL 2016/2019, DBA, Reporting Services, Integration Services, Power BI, Analysis Services).
Project Leadership & Continuous Improvement:  
• Lead infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations, security hardening, automation, and system upgrades.  
• Develop and implement best practices for patch management, performance tuning, and compliance.  
• Collaborate with senior leadership and C-level stakeholders on IT strategy.  
• Drive service improvements, capacity planning, and performance monitoring. Use Service Now to manage and drive ITSM process  
• Document solutions, create runbooks, and improve IT operational workflows. ||  |
• Proven experience in enterprise IT support and infrastructure engineering.  
• Advanced expertise in Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Citrix, Entra, AD, M365, and Azure.  
• Strong knowledge of backup & DR (Veeam, iLand, replication, cloud disaster recovery).  
• Deep understanding of networking (Cisco, Meraki, VPNs, VoIP, Palo Alto, Brocade Fibre).  
• Experience in Ivanti Security Control for enhanced endpoint security as well as Darktrace, Zscaler, and Crowdstrike.  
• Proven experience in SQL administration, Power BI, and database optimisation.  
Hands-on experience with Dev Ops, scripting (Power Shell, Python), and automation.  
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and project management capabilities.  
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, VCP, CCNP, Citrix CCE-V, ITIL, Veeam VMCE) are highly desirable. |
