Summary ofEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Regional IT Support Manager is responsible for delivering Firm technology services including managing the region's IT staff, collaborating with the office leadership, overseeing office technical platforms and network, managing technology projects and activities, and coordinating regional needs with all Firm IT teams. The Regional IT Support Manager is also responsible for providing support for assigned Firm systems; managing work utilizing a ticket management system;
resolving issues escalated from the Help Desk and other technology teams; communicating with end-users, documenting resolutions and known technical issues; monitoring the integrity of various networks and systems; assisting with engineering resolutions or developing "bug" fixes and system enhancements; interfacing with various groups within the department; and participating in technology projects as requested. The Regional IT Support Manager will be based in either the San Francisco or Silicon Valley office and have responsibilities for both offices.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology and/or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a computer-related field, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- An understanding of and experience in dealing with local area networks, cabling, electrical systems, and other infrastructure components (e.g., computer room HVAC, UPS, security systems).
- A practical knowledge of PC hardware and software and the ability to troubleshoot related problems.
- A practical knowledge of mobile devices, mobile device operating systems and software, mobile enterprise email clients and the ability to troubleshoot related problems.
- ITIL certification is preferred.
Jones Day offers competitive salaries and benefits to all employees. Compensation is determined upon the market in which the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience, and skills of the applicant, and other job-related factors. The starting pay scale for this California position is $180,000 - $205,000.
