Sr. Principal Applied Scientist
This is a role within the Advertising Full Funnel Agentic Intelligence and Models team, designed to drive foundational model innovation for Amazon Ads. The team is building next-generation agentic AI systems for advertising. This hire will serve as a key technical leader bringing rare low-level model development expertise to Amazon Ads. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role requiring deep expertise in multimodal foundation models, model architectures, and training methodologies at scale.
Key job responsibilities:
- Define long-term scientific vision for advertising technologies, translating complex customer needs into strategic roadmaps
- Design and implement innovative machine learning and generative AI solutions across multiple advertising product domains
- Mentor and develop scientific talent, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous innovation
- Collaborate with senior leadership to influence technical direction and strategic decision-making
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions to drive cutting-edge research and talent development
