IT Vendor Negotiator

Job Title

Works with various TDS teams to obtain requirements for hardware and/or software procurement

Provides TDS requirements to a variety of hardware, software, and services vendors and obtains quotes

Understands vendor proposals/contracts and works with vendors to obtain clarification where needed

Works with various TDS teams to facilitate vendor meetings, conference calls, and quote validation sessions

Leads the planning and launch of RFIs and RFPs and negotiates contracts

Actively seeks to understand various technology needs and maintains a list of qualified vendors/suppliers

Identifies and pursue opportunities to lower the total cost of goods and services to enhance total enterprise cost of ownership

Provides supply planning and analysis

Conducts supplier performance and relationship management

1 year contract to begin – could extend for years after

Must be local to Bay Area (will be hybrid role onsite 1-2x week)

Required Skills:

Must have strong vendor management and contract skills. They will be working with various TDS teams to obtain requirements for hardware and/or software procurement. Also, they need to know how to lead the planning and launch of RFIs and RFPs and negotiates contracts. Please see Job Description below for all details needed. Must be local to the Bay Area!
