Role Overview
As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of servers and networks to ensure high availability and security. You will proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for system upgrades and installations. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in system administration, a passion for problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
What You Will Do- Performing installation, configuration, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting tasks in support of IT customers.
- Performing regular and repetitive unpacking, moving, and installation of IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Communicating directly with customers on-site to diagnose and resolve customer-related hardware/software issues.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in system administration, a passion for problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve successful results with minimal guidance.
Requirements- HS diploma or GED
- 8+ years of experience with system administration
- BS degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other engineering or technical disciplines
- Experience with conducting routine system administration tasks and logging data in system admin logs
- Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting a wide variety of systems and networks, including high volume or high availability systems
- Knowledge of debugging protocols and processes
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and issues identified by customers and implement corrective actions
