About Rivian
Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.
As a company, we constantly challenge what's possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.

Responsibilities- Drive continuous improvement in our onboard performance by understanding current limitations and addressing them through improved training data. This includes building tooling to understand data distributions, working with autonomy leaders and engineers to understand current challenges.
- You will work closely with labeling and curation teams to drive priorities across data diversity, scale, accuracy and adding new features to support product expansion.
- Manage the operations that continuously improve our training and evaluation datasets, including curation and dataset generation.
- Work with our ML Infrastructure team to build the tools that allow our data operations to scale efficiently.
- Working closely with teams across the larger perception group, systems engineering, data collection and labelling teams to address technical challenges and standardize performance understanding.
- Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive professional experience in Software Development and statistical analysis.
- Experience working in a robotics, perception or autonomy environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong problem solving and coordination skills and an ability to operate effectively in a highly cross functional and fast paced environment.
