SIM Triage Operator

Join a dynamic and critical team responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of autonomous vehicle systems. As a SIM Triage Operator, you will play a vital role in analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues across both simulation and real-world domains. This onsite position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of autonomous vehicle technology, utilizing your analytical expertise and technical skills to impact future mobility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze simulation and on-road data, including logs, sensor outputs, metadata, and video, to identify and prioritize issues.
  • Correlate on-road incidents with simulation scenarios to facilitate reproduction and regression testing.
  • Apply established triage standards to distinguish between tooling-related issues and vehicle behavior anomalies.
  • Support tooling workflows using dashboards, log viewers, replay tools, and issue-tracking platforms.
  • Develop scripts for automation of log queries, data extraction, and workflow processes; maintain documentation and dashboards.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Experience working with autonomous vehicle systems, simulation environments, or related technologies.
  • Proven ability to analyze logs, sensor data, and multimedia to troubleshoot issues.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Familiarity with Jira, log viewers, replay tools, and issue-tracking platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow triage standards accurately.
Nice to Have

Skills:
  • Experience developing automation scripts and maintaining dashboards.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and workflow optimization tools.
  • Background supporting AI-assisted triage workflows and tooling.
Preferred

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a STEM discipline.
  • Prior experience in autonomous vehicle systems, simulation data analysis, or related fields.
  • Experience in a similar role involving software troubleshooting and data analysis.
Other Requirements:
  • This role is strictly onsite at the service location.
  • Candidates must be aware that this is a contingent/contract position, not a direct employment role.
  • The position requires working 40 hours per week for an initial 6-month contract, with possible extension.
