SIM Triage Operator
Join a dynamic and critical team responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of autonomous vehicle systems. As a SIM Triage Operator, you will play a vital role in analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues across both simulation and real-world domains. This onsite position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of autonomous vehicle technology, utilizing your analytical expertise and technical skills to impact future mobility.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze simulation and on-road data, including logs, sensor outputs, metadata, and video, to identify and prioritize issues.
- Correlate on-road incidents with simulation scenarios to facilitate reproduction and regression testing.
- Apply established triage standards to distinguish between tooling-related issues and vehicle behavior anomalies.
- Support tooling workflows using dashboards, log viewers, replay tools, and issue-tracking platforms.
- Develop scripts for automation of log queries, data extraction, and workflow processes; maintain documentation and dashboards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Experience working with autonomous vehicle systems, simulation environments, or related technologies.
- Proven ability to analyze logs, sensor data, and multimedia to troubleshoot issues.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with Jira, log viewers, replay tools, and issue-tracking platforms.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow triage standards accurately.
Skills:
- Experience developing automation scripts and maintaining dashboards.
- Knowledge of data analytics and workflow optimization tools.
- Background supporting AI-assisted triage workflows and tooling.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a STEM discipline.
- Prior experience in autonomous vehicle systems, simulation data analysis, or related fields.
- Experience in a similar role involving software troubleshooting and data analysis.
- This role is strictly onsite at the service location.
- Candidates must be aware that this is a contingent/contract position, not a direct employment role.
- The position requires working 40 hours per week for an initial 6-month contract, with possible extension.
