Day - 08 Hour (United States of America) The Clinical Imaging Application Specialist 2 will manage support and implementation tasks for all imaging applications. This role will be able to lead and participate in Escalation Bridges to restore service in the event of an outage. This is a Stanford Health Care job.
A Brief OverviewThe Clinical Application Analyst II represents the core operational and build capacity of the Applications team. This position implements, administers, and supports assigned systems under the minimal guidance of senior members of the team, and has a good understanding of Epic or other clinical system modules, ancillary systems, and health system operations. Analyst IIs competently and independently build, test, and support applications;
participate as contributing members on projects; and execute assigned work with a high degree of independence. They continue to grow their technical depth in a self-directed way - through certification, training, and other development activities - as they build toward increasing scope of responsibility.

What you will do- Provide tier-2 support of application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on-call coverage as required
- Perform daily monitoring of applications in production use
- Take ownership of low-to-medium-complexity issues and act as a liaison between the customer and other support staff to facilitate resolution
- Lead small-to-medium-complexity software upgrade initiatives or workflow enhancements, including the design, build, and test phases
- Independently build, configure, and maintain applications within assigned scope, with minimal oversight
- Conduct peer review of teammate configuration build and provide feedback and/or identify concerns
- Modify tables and master files, and make additions and changes, following departmental processes
- Implement changes using documented procedures that are compliant with department policies and procedures; update procedure documentation as processes evolve
- Assist senior team members in developing and maintaining requirements/specifications and test cases for new or enhanced functionality to department applications
- Analyze workflows and system issues, applying judgment to develop and recommend solutions within areas of assigned responsibility
- Document routine and complex workflows and support activities using established templates and standards
- Work with and mentor junior staff members to document workflows
- Provide analytical assistance to junior team members to resolve application incidents, maintenance items, and enhancement requests
- Coordinate application support with other information technology teams, including Infrastructure, Integration, Enterprise Analytics, and the help desk
- Participate independently and competently as a contributing team member on projects, executing assigned work with minimal direction
- Participate in team and cross-team meetings and document key decisions, outcomes, and next steps and communicate back to relevant team members
- Take a self-directed approach to ongoing technical development, proactively pursuing training, certifications, and stretch assignments
- Apply working AI literacy - using approved AI-enabled tools (e.g., build assistants, documentation and testing aids, research tools) thoughtfully to improve the efficiency and quality of support and build work, with appropriate human review
- Stay current on emerging capabilities within Epic, Sectra, and other clinical applications and adjacent technologies and bring forward ideas for applying them
