Akkodis is seeking a Zip Administrator for a client in Palo Alto, CA.
Rate Range: $60.00/hour to $66.00/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Description
We are seeking a Zip Administrator to own the configuration, administration, and continuous improvement of our Zip intake-to-pay procurement orchestration platform. This role serves as a bridge between Procurement, Finance, Legal, Sourcing, and IT teams, ensuring purchasing workflows are efficient, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have experience administering workflow-based procurement systems, supporting end users, and collaborating with stakeholders to design and optimize business processes. This position combines elements of Systems Administration, Business Analysis, and Project Management, with a focus on managing Zip workflows, supporting integrations with enterprise systems such as SAP, and driving process improvements across the procure-to-pay lifecycle.
This is a hybrid role, with office days Tues-Thurs and remote Monday and Friday.
Please note, we cannot work on C2C basis for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Zip workflows, intake forms, approval chains, routing logic, and business rules.
- Partner with Procurement, Finance, Legal, Sourcing, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable system solutions.
- Administer and support the Zip platform, including user access, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and production support.
- Manage service requests and incidents through ticketing platforms such as Jira, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
- Support integrations between Zip and enterprise applications, including SAP and other ERP systems, utilizing REST API-based integrations.
- Monitor procurement workflows and system performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, user experience, and compliance.
- Coordinate testing activities for system enhancements, workflow changes, and platform upgrades, including regression and user acceptance testing.
- Document system configurations, workflows, business processes, and support procedures to ensure operational consistency and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to troubleshoot data flow, integration, and process-related issues across the procurement ecosystem.
- Lead or support projects related to procurement systems, workflow automation, and process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Project Management, Business Systems Administration, or a related role.
- 3+ years of experience administering workflow-based business applications, procurement platforms, or enterprise systems.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience configuring workflows, approval processes, forms, and routing logic within Zip or a comparable platform.
- Strong understanding of procurement, purchasing, procure-to-pay (P2P), or source-to-pay (S2P) business processes.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise applications and system integrations.
- Working knowledge of REST APIs and how business systems exchange data through integrations.
- Experience gathering requirements, documenting processes, and working with cross-functional business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience using ticketing and service management tools such as Jira.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- 10+ years of overall IT experience.
Nice to Haves
- Experience administering Zip in a production enterprise environment.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP platforms, especially procurement-related modules such as SAP MM.
- SAP certification or other ERP-related certifications.
- Experience supporting integrations between Zip, SAP, and other procurement or finance systems.
- Background in purchasing, procurement operations, supply chain, sourcing, or finance.
- Experience designing and improving procurement workflows, approval processes, and purchasing controls.
- Knowledge of intake-to-pay, procure-to-pay, and source-to-pay best practices.
- Experience supporting SaaS applications and enterprise workflow automation platforms.
- Familiarity with process mapping, business process reengineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience leading system implementation, enhancement, or transformation projects.
