About the Role

Wing is looking for an Inventory Analyst to join our Forward Logistics team. This role is onsite based in Palo Alto, CA
.This role is primarily focused on supporting and coordinating logistics and inventory operations, ensuring that our drone delivery environments in the US and beyond are supported by an accurate, highly organized supply chain.

You will take ownership of specific inventory initiatives, independently managing parts of project planning and execution. What You’ll Do
  • Manage specific inventory initiatives and track metrics/KPIs that align with project requirements and broader team goals.
  • Execute daily or scheduled cycle counts of raw materials and finished goods, support physical audits, and perform systematic reconciliations to maintain high inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental material movements and kitting activities to support operational timelines while maintaining a strong network of internal stakeholders.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and propose process improvements or workflow refinements to warehouse operations.
  • Monitor stock movements and supply chain timelines to proactively identify potential material shortages or imbalances, implementing alternative kitting or sourcing plans.
  • Analyze cycle count data, transaction logs, and usage trends to make data‑driven recommendations for improving storage layouts and slotting efficiency.
  • Support training for new team members on inventory systems and SOPs, sharing best practices to elevate overall team performance.
  • Monitor location aging reports and track excess, slow‑moving, or obsolete inventory (E&O) to support timely write‑offs or material dispositions.
  • Collaborate with procurement and planning teams to monitor MRP signals, verify safety stock levels, and prevent line‑stoppages due to material shortages.
  • Partner with warehouse site leads to optimize storage space utilization, picking paths, and labeling strategies for complex drone hardware.
  • Coordinate Return Material Authorization (RMA) workflows, process returned goods, and manage the triage and inspection of incoming hardware shipments.
What You’ll Need
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory control, material planning, or warehousing, preferably in a fast‑paced technology, hardware, or advanced manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong analytical capability with a commitment to identifying data inaccuracies and tracking key supply chain performance metrics (KPIs).
