Overview
Clinical Nurse (RN) – Day shift (12 hour) – United States of America. Responsible for delivering evidence‑based care within California Nursing Practice Act and hospital policies, performing the full nursing process.
Responsibilities- Establish therapeutic relationships, provide emotional support, and guide patient/family through illness and recovery, acknowledging cultural preferences.
- Obtain accurate assessment data; interpret normal versus abnormal findings; determine nursing diagnoses.
- Monitor and evaluate data frequently; implement therapeutic interventions; evaluate effectiveness and watch for adverse responses.
- Teach patients and families self‑care skills; adjust teaching based on learning needs, developmental level, physiological and psychological condition, and cultural variations.
- Tutor staff members, including formal preceptor or super‑user roles.
- Rapidly assess and respond to changing situations; activate emergency protocols as needed.
- Monitor own practice and assist others in compliance with safety standards and policies.
- Prioritize and delegate tasks appropriately; contribute to team building, unit meetings, and constructive conflict resolution.
- Utilize available technology for communication, documentation, and locating information regarding clinical situations, diagnoses, and treatments.
- Participate in shared governance, professional publications, and presentations.
- Active California RN license.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Vascular Access Board Certification (VA‑BC) or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years experience inserting PICCs, most recent insertion within the last 6 months.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred.
Physical Demands & Work ConditionsFrequent lifting of patients and equipment; bending, stooping, and walking. Exposure to contagious disease, radiation, or infection. Requires use of protective clothing or gear. Blood Borne Pathogens Category I tasks involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.

SalaryBase Pay Scale: $96.35 – $111.14 per hour, determined by experience, education, specialty, and training.
