What to Expect

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Project Coordinator to join Tesla's Drive Systems Engineering Team. You will be responsible for coordinating design and test efforts of the Drive Unit components for all Tesla vehicle product lines. You will be part of the team that creates and executes world‑class drive units in terms of performance, cost, and manufacturability across all vehicle platforms.

The role requires a highly organized mindset, a passion for driving multiple projects, and an unparalleled ability to pull people together to make things happen. This requires you to be extremely detail oriented, ability to identify the project timeline and barriers; then drive the cross‑functional teams to execute quickly at high quality.

What You'll Do
  • Manage JIRA tickets: create, update, and track progress for prototype builds, testing tasks, and issue resolutions across cross‑functional teams
  • Create and manage project schedules, monitor supplier schedules, and use critical path analysis to flag risks and bottlenecks
  • Coordinate prototype procurement, build and test on component, Drive Unit and vehicle level
  • Orchestrate logistics for project execution, including resource planning, supplier coordination, material shipments, and inventory management for tests and prototypes
  • Interface closely with design engineers, test engineers, suppliers, and technicians to ensure project success
  • Monitor progress against schedules, generate status reports, and drive corrective actions
  • Track prototype part manufacturing, shipping and delivery
What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years of experience in a supportive capacity preferably with an engineering, architecture, or construction firm
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills, attention to detail with a strong sense of urgency
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal guidance; proactive, motivated self‑starter
  • Ability to effectively prioritize with strong time management skills and adapt to change in a fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent computer skills and comprehension of MS Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence software
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., MS Project)

Expected Compensation

$22.40 - $39.60/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
