The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine is seeking a Unit/Program Communicator 1 to support the design, creation, and development of communications deliverables to execute on a unit or program communication strategy. This role supports the Communication Manager in execution, expanding capacity to deliver timely, high‑quality communications while maintaining strategic and brand alignment. The primary priority is supporting departmental promotion and relationship‑building, including coordination and drafting of internal and external communications.

A secondary priority is branding and brand stewardship, ensuring consistent messaging, visual identity, and adherence to institutional communications guidelines. The role also supports maintaining core communications systems and platforms—such as event calendars and mailing lists—to enable effective outreach and engagement across departmental channels.

Core duties
  • Assist and support day‑to‑day activities for communications deliverables and efforts.
  • Identify, vet, and draft materials and information to be used in department communications across all channels, including alumni communications, social media, and websites.
  • Support the maintenance and application of communications guidelines and regulations within the department to support branding and outreach goals.
  • Maintain and support the department’s communications systems and platforms, including event calendars, mailing lists, social media scheduling, and related tools.
  • Oversee and/or perform duties associated with scheduling, organizing, and operating complex events or seminars, including arranging vendor services, overseeing the production and distribution of materials, administering logistics, and managing events within budget.
Education & Experience (Required)

Bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
