7 on 7 off, 12‑hour shifts

This is an unarmed Executive Protection Agent position in which the candidate will alternate between executive protection responsibilities and driving duties. The role requires both domestic and international travel. Candidates must be comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment and in social settings involving high‑profile public figures. Ideal candidates will have prior experience supporting C‑suite executives and the ability to integrate smoothly into that environment.
Candidates must demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, independence, reliability, and sound critical thinking. The position requires the ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently during solo coverage assignments. Prior EP experience on an embedded team serving a single primary client is required, while military and police experience in addition to this is preferred.
- Ensure the overall safety and security of designated Principals and their property.
- Monitor multiple security systems, including alarms and cameras, and act on security risks.
- Control access to properties and maintain security logs for guests, service personnel, and vendors.
- Drive Principals to various personal/business venues and/or additional off‑site assignments.
- Maintain professional appearance and represent the company in a customer‑service approach.
- Communicate with the Principal’s staff, coworkers, and other third‑party vendors.
- Adapt to tasks outside traditional security operations.
- Interact with children when required.
- Use on‑the‑spot critical thinking and improvisation.
- Employ strong emotional intelligence and self‑awareness.
- Socially engineer desired outcomes as needed.
- Submit to pre‑employment, post‑accident, and random drug testing as determined by management.
- Work shifts that can include days/nights/weekends/holidays/OT.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Provide close protection at various venues, events, business meetings, personal trips, etc.
- Perform tasks around the Principal’s property as required.
- Maintain a positive attitude in diverse situations and conduct oneself professionally.
- Conduct advance work for routes, venues, and travel trips.
- Write detailed reports.
- Coordinate with Principal’s staff and outside personnel for seamless operations.
- Maintain physical fitness, standing for several hours and performing physically taxing activities such as running, swimming, hiking.
- Engage a threat against the Principal when necessary.
- Use defensive tactics to deescalate or actively engage potential threats.
- Submit expense receipts.
- Clock in/out for work shifts.
- CA BSIS Security Guard license
- Valid United States Driver’s License
- Current passport with more than six months expiration
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification for Adults, Children, and Infants
Education and Experience
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree
- Certification from a recognized EP school (can be supplemented with 2+ years of relevant industry experience)
- Graduation from a certified driving school (preferred)
- Military or Law enforcement experience (plus)
- Proficiency with social media collection tools for protective intelligence
- Prior RST experience (plus)
- Training in defensive tactics, counter surveillance, surveillance detection, and covert protection
- Active First Responder, Paramedic or EMT certifications (plus)
- Regular outdoor activity participation (mountain biking, hiking, ocean sports, etc.)
- California CCW permit (plus)
- Knowledge of latest technology in security camera systems, smartphones, communications, and collaboration apps.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills with clients, superiors, peers, and vendors.
- Drug‑free status; must pass drug screening and periodic screenings.
