What You Will Do In This Role- Employees in this classification work under the direct supervision of a supervisor or a higher-level employee or Lead.
- Employees in this classification independently maintain, repair and install sprinkler systems and landscape elements throughout the campus. They also maintain decorative and landscape fountains while monitoring the fountain water levels, circulation and clarity.
- Sprinkler/Landscape Specialists receive minimal supervision; they must be able to identify issues and determine corrections for significant repairs or installations. Systems are both technical and manual; employees must understand, and problem solve within both. Consults with lead and/or supervisor to implement corrective actions.
- May assume leadās role during the leadās absence.
- Estimate types of materials and quantities needed on a daily basis; assist with estimates for projects including the take-offs of materials and labor hours.
- Install complete irrigation systems.
- Install filters, concrete pads, enclosures, and controller pedestals.
