Projection Testing QA Engineer; AOSP​/Apple CarPlay

Responsibilities

• Execute manual projection testing for Apple Car Play and Android Auto
• Flash provided builds onto devices and perform validation testing
• Identify, isolate, and document defects related to projection behavior
• Debug system behavior across Android, Linux, and infotainment layers
• Support pre‑certification bug fixing efforts for projection technologies
• Collaborate with developers and system engineers to troubleshoot issues
• Read Python scripts as needed for debugging and validation (no heavy automation)

This role is highly hands‑on and manual-focused, supporting projection testing for Apple Car Play and Android Auto on AOSP-based infotainment platforms. Engineers will work directly with devices, flashing builds, validating functionality, and supporting pre‑certification bug fixes. Automation experience is a plus, but not required.

• Hands‑on projection testing experience (MUST) with Apple Car Play and/or Android Auto
• Strong background in manual QA and validation (automation is not a focus)
• Experience testing AOSP-based infotainment systems
• Ability to flash builds onto devices and validate given software builds
• Experience working in Linux and Android environments
• Ability to read and debug Python scripts
• Experience using Wireshark for network or system‑level debugging
• Automotive infotainment or embedded systems experience
