Principal Embedded Flight Software Engineer – Lanteris Space Systems (Locations: Palo Alto, CA; San Jose, CA; Houston, TX)
Develop flight software for NASA’s Artemis program and other challenging space missions.
Responsibilities- Design and implement software for embedded Real‑time Operating Systems (RTOS).
- Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for flight software systems.
- Develop software verification plans, unit level and open‑loop test suites, procedures, execute test procedures and document results to ensure software system requirements are met.
- Perform software product life cycle management.
- Develop, select, tailor, and deploy software processes, tools, and metrics.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, processes, and system‑specific issues.
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field (four additional years of experience may substitute for a degree).
- 15 years of software development experience.
- Embedded C++ programming skills on multicore‑processor architecture.
- VxWorks and cFS experience.
The base pay for this position within California is: $168,000 – $280,000 annually
. For other states, market‑driven ranges apply. Benefits include paid time off, health and welfare insurance, 401(k) for eligible employees, and incentive eligibility based on contribution and performance.
