Responsibilities- Work with cross‑functional teams to integrate hardware and software components on various vehicle platforms
- Be able to support data analysis using Python, create dashboards and characterize driving behavior based off of data
- Approach problem solving with a data‑driven approach
- Deep‑dive into vehicle log data and source code if required to root‑cause system‑level issues and facilitate rapid issue resolution in collaboration with domain experts
- Work with perception, planning and systems teams to bring various automated driving systems components together
- Familiarize system and component level requirements for features as well as hardware components
- Identify, document and highlight cross‑functional gaps and dependencies – proactively work towards creative solutions to resolve integration issues and ensure vehicle functionality
- Prototype tools and solutions to accommodate rapid development and to bring efficiency (e.g. Python scripts and parsing vehicle data)
- Review vehicle data and correlate data with requirements
- Find gaps and work towards filling them with engineering solutions or implementing processes
- Incorporate automation and leverage AI to improve efficiency and drive faster development
- Proficiency with GIT and software repo management tools
- Experience building dashboards and scripting in Python
- Experience in chassis control or vehicle dynamics development preferred
- Prior experience and passion for ADAS system control development
- B.S in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Understanding of automotive hardware and software development concepts including continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD) software development models
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced development environment – proactively collaborate cross‑functionally with other teams to solve vehicle‑level integration problems
- Strong understanding of vehicle safety concepts and testing‑related safety procedures
- Clean driving record with professional experience driving prototype test‑vehicles in test‑tracks
The salary range for this role is $129,300‑$161,600 for San Francisco Bay Area based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.
