Build the future of data streaming with the Amazon Data Firehose (ADF) team. ADF is a fully managed service that captures, transforms, and delivers streaming data to destinations such as Amazon S3, Redshift, Splunk, and Open Search Service. It automatically scales, requires no customer application code, and can perform transformations before delivery. Firehose processes billions of events and petabytes of data daily, supporting mission‑critical real-time applications for thousands of customers.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to build a large‑scale AWS service, including implementation, quality assurance, deployment, and operations.
• Work with senior leaders to define the team’s roadmap, identifying design and code changes needed in the underlying open‑source platforms.
• Design and develop highly available, scalable, distributed, and secure systems using modern cloud computing paradigms, techniques, and tools.

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• 1+ year of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ year of Object‑Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

Base salary range: $ – $ USD annually.
