We are looking for SDE talent in Bay Area (Palo Alto). Amazon Redshift is the world's most popular fully managed petabyte‑scale data analytic service in the cloud. Tens of thousands of customers use Redshift to crunch through exabytes of data to make business‑critical decisions every day. To stay ahead, we are seeking engineers to shape the future of Redshift and help rebuild distributed data and transaction management solutions.
Responsibilities- Design, implement and deliver state‑of‑the‑art distributed, high‑performance data and transaction management processing algorithms and solutions.
- Continuously invent and re‑architect components and workflows, creating new technologies to meet future demands in data analytics.
- Deploy and monitor new features in a highly available and fault‑tolerant system running in the cloud.
- Collaborate with and mentor other engineers, providing technical guidance and helping to build a fast‑growing team.
- 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) experience.
- 1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ year of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ year of Object Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
