Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Native Storage

We are seeking a highly experienced and self‑motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our team. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and delivering features for a highly scalable distributed storage product.

• Reliable operation of Kubernetes storage control planes across thousands of enterprise environments.
• Lifecycle management of Kubernetes workload clusters.
• Enablement of workloads across the stack from storage control plane to vSAN data plane.
• Design, implement, and maintain distributed systems primarily in Go and/or C++.
• Ownership of the full Software Development Life Cycle within designated technical areas, including specification, development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with technical leads, architects, product management, and dependent teams to translate large‑scale problems into clear technical designs and execution plans.
• Troubleshoot and debug production and non‑production issues across multiple layers.
• Promote a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Architect distributed storage control‑plane workflows for creation, upgrade, movement, and scaling across thousands of clusters.
• Build robust resiliency to handle enterprise‑grade failure scenarios across shared underlying storage systems.
• Develop automated and comprehensive tests for correctness, upgrade processes, and resilience.

• Minimum 5 years of experience building highly scalable distributed systems.
• Bachelor's, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering.
• Strong foundational knowledge in data structures and algorithms.
• Experience dealing with complex issues of scale, performance, and concurrency.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and its control‑plane architecture.
• Experience extending the Kubernetes API and implementing reconciliation loops.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure orchestration across compute, networking, and storage.
• Knowledge of Linux internals and container runtimes (e.g., containerd).
• Knowledge of the Container Storage Interface (CSI) and managing Persistent Volumes and Persistent Volume Claims.
• Strong systems design fundamentals with a focus on consistency, availability, and failure handling.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently on complex problems.

The annual base salary range is $141,300 – $226,000.
