Meet the teamThe Embedded Tools and Test team at Latitude AI is part of the Onboard Platforms team. We work closely with platform development teams to facilitate automated test workflows, develop test plans, build test tooling, and execute the design verification plan on target embedded hardware. This requires deep understanding of the hardware and software supporting test tooling and infrastructure of the boot chain, real‑time OS, high‑level OS, networking, time synchronization, and embedded applications.
Whatyou’ll do
- Support the architecture and design of complex embedded runtime software V&V plans
- Develop and implement hardware‑in‑the‑loop qualification tests and support test integration
- Review development team requirements for accuracy and technical implementation
- Develop automated test prototypes for development teams and identify test tooling requirements
- Support CI pipelines and troubleshoot complex hardware and software system integration issues
- Develop and maintain test asset software tools and infrastructure
- Mentor and support junior engineers and lead technical projects and initiatives
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders including systems engineers, software developers, and hardware engineers to achieve test objectives
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or PhD)
- 5+ years of technical experience
- Experience working with automotive lifecycle requirements and validation & verification testing
- Knowledge of software integration and test concepts and modalities
- Proficiency in Python programming
- Experience developing test framework solutions to support embedded runtime or hardware‑in‑the‑loop systems
- Ability to write concise, clear, and detailed engineering documentation
- Detailed knowledge of Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) – ISO 26262, ISO 21434
- Knowledge of networking and embedded network switches – TCP/IP, UDP, VLANs
- Experience with microcontrollers and general‑purpose interfaces – DOIP/CAN, I2C, UART
- Experience with embedded OS platforms – RTOS, Linux
