Globalization Services' AI-driven automation platform, supporting our next-generation Spec-to-Content and Knowledge Graph initiatives. You will work on real production services and help build intelligent automation capabilities that support SAP's global localization and compliance processes.
During the internship, you will contribute to software engineering activities across backend, frontend, data, and AI-enabled automation components. Responsibilities may include:
- Implementing high-quality, maintainable code in Python, Java, and/or JavaScript.
- Building backend and frontend components that integrate with SAP Business Technology Platform, AI/ML services, and enterprise data sources.
- Contributing to SAP's internal Knowledge Graph capabilities using RDF, SPARQL, and related technologies.
- Supporting database schema design, data ingestion pipelines, and integration workflows across SAP systems.
- Participating in unit testing, debugging, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and pair programming with senior engineers.
- Documenting code, design decisions, and technical artifacts for long-term maintainability.
Expected outcomes include:
- Delivery of production-grade features or components.
- Measurable contribution to at least one end-to-end workflow, such as API integration, Knowledge Graph query logic, UI functionality, or AI processing.
- Well-documented code, tests, and design artifacts that can be maintained by the team after the internship.
You will work as part of a cross-functional engineering team that includes:
- Senior developers and architects
- Product owners from globalization domains
- Engineering colleagues working on SAP BTP, AI automation, and Knowledge Graph initiatives
You will receive structured support throughout the internship, including:

- Code reviews and architectural walkthroughs
- Access to training resources for SAP BTP, CAP, OData, Git Hub, AI/ML, and Knowledge Graph technologies
- Opportunities to participate in engineering syncs, demos, and technical deep dives
Technical skills:
- Python, Java, and/or Java Script
- SAP BTP development, including Cloud Foundry, CAP, and OData services
- SQL, database design, and data modeling
- CI/CD pipelines, Git Hub workflows, and automated testing
- AI/ML foundations, including embeddings, generative AI, and LLM-driven automation
- Knowledge Graph technologies, including RDF, SPARQL, and triple stores
- ABAP concepts and SAP configuration content processes
Engineering practices:
- Agile software delivery
- Production-level software development
- Code reviews and architecture discussions
- Debugging, observability, and performance optimization
- Working across backend, frontend, and data layers
Domain knowledge:
- SAP Globalization engineering processes
- Enterprise SaaS architecture

Educational requirements:
