Software Test Automation Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Software QA Automation Engineer to work onour In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) software. You will be a key driver and enabler of quality and efficiency within our software development lifecycle. You won't just be executing tests; youwill be responsible for contributing to, designing, building, and maintaining scalable androbust automation frameworks that ensure our products are reliable and high performing.
You will ensure the required test coverage is in place and build it up are looking for a candidate who views quality as a continuous process and possesses strong test automation fundamentals to elevate our software quality standards.
- Framework Development:
Contribute to, design, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks and test scripts for application logic and system validation. - Test Strategy & Execution:
Define, implement, and execute automated test strategies, test plans, and test suites across functional, integration, and system levels. - Scripting:
Write high-quality, clean, scalable, and maintainable automation code using Python and industry-standard testing frameworks. - Defect Management:
Identify, document, track, and isolate software defects to resolution with clear, reproducible steps and detailed logs. - Process Improvement:
Continuously refine test automation strategies, coverage, and overall QA practices to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Experience & Test Fundamentals:
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation, with a strong foundation in core testing methodologies, test lifecycle management, and test design techniques. - Test Automation:
Proven hands‑on track record of building, maintaining, and executing automated test suites for complex software applications. - Language:
Demonstrated expertise and strong proficiency in Python for developingautomation scripts and test utilities. - Test Automation Frameworks:
Direct experience with test automation frameworks and tools specifically Pytest, Appium, Selenium Web Driver, Playwright, Cypress, or Gherkin/Cucumber. - Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and professional experience).
- Domain
Experience:
Background in Automotive electronics, In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems, EV platforms, or embedded systems (Linux / Android stack). - Communication Protocols:
Familiarity with vehicle and wireless communication protocols including CAN, Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, LIN, or UDS. - CI/CD Integration:
Experience integrating automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, or jFrog artifact management. - Test Management & Reporting:
Hands‑on experience with test case management tools (Test Rail) and reporting frameworks (Allure). - Environments & Methods:
Proficiency in Linux and macOS command-line environments, image comparison techniques for UI testing, or Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) / Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) setups. - Additional Languages & Architecture:
Exposure to C, C++, Rust, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), BDD/TDD methodologies, or performance and security testing.
- Analytical Mindset:
You enjoy breaking down complex problems to understand howto make systems stronger and more reliable. - Communication:
Ability to explain technical risks, test results, and defect details clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Proactivity:
You don't wait for bugs to be reported; you anticipate potential points offailure early in the lifecycle.
