Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud API & Mobile Test Automation Engineer to develop and maintain automated testing solutions for iOS and Android applications, cloud APIs, and connected automotive services.

This role requires extensive Python automation experience, strong API and mobile testing expertise, and hands-on validation across multiple environments including hardware-in-the-loop systems and physical vehicles. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with software, cloud, mobile, and vehicle engineering teams to identify integration issues and improve overall product quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for iOS and Android applications.
  • Develop and execute automated tests for cloud APIs, backend services, and connected-service platforms.
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and release validation.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, system, end-to-end, and exploratory testing.
  • Validate software across multiple environments, including simulated systems, hardware-in-the-loop setups, test benches, and physical vehicles.
  • Test end-to-end data flows between mobile applications, cloud services, embedded systems, and vehicle platforms.
  • Debug cross-platform data-flow, synchronization, connectivity, and integration issues.
  • Analyze API responses, application logs, cloud logs, network traffic, and vehicle diagnostic data to identify root causes.
  • Develop test strategies, test plans, test cases, and quality metrics for connected services.
  • Document, track, and communicate defects clearly to engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and improve testability.
  • Identify automation opportunities and continuously improve test coverage, execution reliability, and release readiness.
  • Help define and drive the overall quality strategy for mobile applications and connected services.
Required Qualifications
  • Extensive professional experience using Python for test automation.
  • Experience developing and maintaining scalable automated test frameworks.
  • Strong experience testing iOS and Android applications.
  • Experience validating REST APIs, cloud services, and distributed systems.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
  • Experience testing data flows across mobile, cloud, embedded, or connected platforms.
  • Strong debugging, log-analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause-analysis skills.
  • Experience using API testing tools and libraries.
  • Familiarity with Git-based software development and defect-management workflows.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work on-site regularly and conduct hands-on testing using physical equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience testing connected vehicles, automotive infotainment, telematics, or mobility services.
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop systems, vehicle test benches, or full-vehicle validation.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Appium, Selenium, Pytest, XCTest, Espresso, or similar automation tools.
  • Experience with Postman, REST Assured, Charles Proxy, Wireshark, or similar API and network-debugging tools.
  • Understanding of authentication methods such as OAuth 2.0, API keys, and token-based authentication.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized test environments.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI, or similar CI/CD platforms.
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN.
  • Knowledge of Git, Jira, Jenkins, or similar development and testing tools.
Work Arrangement
  • Four-day return-to-office policy.
  • Five days on-site may frequently be required because of hardware-in-the-loop and full-vehicle testing requirements.
Compensation

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $120,000–$140,000 USD annually
. Actual compensation will depend on the candidate’s relevant experience, technical expertise, qualifications, and overall suitability for the position.
