We are currently accepting applications for the Director of Football Operations position. This role oversees the daily operations of the Stanford Football program and ensures that all logistical, administrative, and operational functions run smoothly. The Director of Football Operations will report to the Football General Manager and collaborate closely with the Head Coach on core responsibilities. This position is a one‑year fixed‑term appointment.

Responsibilities

Include
  • Serve as the central point of coordination for all football operations, managing team logistics, travel equipment scheduling, training camp setup, housing, and meals.
  • Own the master football calendar (team activities, travel, events, compliance deadlines) and ensure smooth communication between coaching, recruiting, player development, and administrative staff.
  • Manage all team travel logistics: buses, hotels, meals, rooming lists, equipment transport, and itineraries. Oversee gameday operations and ensure seamless execution home and away.
  • Lead planning for training camp and spring football logistics (practice schedules, meeting room assignments, operations support).
  • Plan and oversee Stanford Football’s camps — including youth summer camps, specialist camps, and high school recruiting evaluation camps — coordinating logistics, compliance, and on-field execution in partnership with coaching and recruiting staff.
  • Coordinate with the Athletics Department’s facilities, travel, and finance teams for all operational needs.
  • Supervise operations staff (Ops assistants, interns, or student staff).
  • Identify and drive process improvements across football operations — focus on efficiency, communication, and player/staff experience.

  • Strong organizer and communicator who thrives on structure and execution.
  • Must be detail‑oriented and proactive.
  • Must be comfortable managing complex logistics and competing priorities.
  • Experience in football operations, travel coordination, or team administration is strongly preferred.
