We are currently accepting applications for the position of Director of Football Events & On‑Campus Recruiting. This position will report to the Associate General Manager. It will oversee the planning, logistics, and execution of all football‑related events on campus—including official and unofficial recruiting visits, junior days, camps, and major program events. This role ensures that every prospective athlete, family, and guest experiences Stanford Football at its best.

This is a one‑year fixed‑term appointment.

Responsibilities Include
  • Plan and execute all on‑campus recruiting events, including official visits, unofficial visits, junior days, and camps.
  • Develop and manage visit itineraries, schedules, and staff assignments.
  • Serve as the point person for communication with prospective student‑athletes and their families during visits.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Recruiting, and Player Development to ensure a seamless, high‑touch experience for each recruit.
  • Manage the logistics for special events (e.g., Team Banquet, Signing Day celebrations, Donor Events).
  • Supervise event logistics staff, interns, and student ambassadors.
  • Partner with DAPER facilities, catering, and marketing teams for event setup and execution.
  • Develop systems for visitor feedback, event metrics, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the recruiting event budget in collaboration with Operations and Recruiting leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Organized, high‑energy leader.
  • Experience running large‑scale events, including but not limited to recruiting weekends.
  • Must be detail‑oriented, people‑focused, and thrive in fast‑moving environments.

This position, along with all DAPER coaches and staff, is responsible for the integrity of Stanford’s intercollegiate athletics program and for the reputation of Stanford University. It ensures that its involvement with Athletics Department activities maintains the integrity of the University’s reputation and does not negatively impact the relationship between the University and its faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Additionally, it must comply with University policies and procedures, NCAA and ACC rules and regulations.
