Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Salary: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule:

Full Time, Sunday - Thursday.

The Maintenance Technician assists the Maintenance Manager with executing general operating maintenance and repair of the community and physical plant. They work to maintain proper operations of the community in a safe, clean, and comfortable manner.

• Respond to resident and family requests for maintenance assistance.
• Make electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and structural repairs following direction.
• Work outside on exterior tasks including irrigation, tree and vegetation requirements, pool maintenance (if applicable), hard‑scape surfaces, and roofing.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One‑year certificate from college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities with excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with different levels of technical or professional personnel from outside contractors.
• Ability to communicate with residents and their families.
• Working knowledge of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.
• Use caution in performing duties and maintain safe working practices.
