Duties
- Support the goals and mission of the college; provide quality instruction to your students; and communicate with your department chair or administrator.
- Teaching duties will consist of courses from the Medical Assistant curriculum. Courses may include: MOA 115; MOA 141; MOA 142; MOA 144; MOA 147.
Education/Experience
Associate’s degree in health science or related field. CMA, RMA, or certification, registration or licensure as a healthcare professional or clinical experience. Certain courses may require additional requirements.
Qualifications
- Appropriate certification or licensure or Associate’s degree in a health science discipline or a related field.
- Registered Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant or Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) with recent ambulatory clinical experience preferred.
- Knowledge of course content, as evidenced by education and/or experience.
- Education or experience in effective direction and evaluation of student learning and laboratory performance.
- Preparation in educational theory and techniques.
- Credentialed or eligible for national credentialing as medical assistant is desirable.
