DutiesTeach the fundamentals of pediatric sleep technology, including performance of pediatric sleep studies, staging and scoring of pediatric polysomnograms, and sleep disorders in the pediatric population. Normal sleep from the stages of newborn to young adult population is studied. Communication with patients and caregivers is emphasized.
Education/ExperienceRegistered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential. Associate’s Degree in sleep technology, respiratory therapy or the equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Certification in Clinical Sleep Health (CCSH) preferred. Two years of pediatric sleep experience preferred.
The instructor must be effective in teaching and knowledgeable in subject matter as documented by appropriate professional credentials/certifications, education and experience in designated content area.
Position StatusPart Time
HoursTo be determined. Primarily 1-2 weekday evenings and some nights for clinical site visits.
