Since 1989, TTUHSCManaged Care has served as a healthcare delivery service,providing high quality, low cost healthcare to patients within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system. We provide medical,mental health, and dental services to patients in 22 facilities throughout West Texas. Managed Care emphasizes our values-basedculture in all we do.

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required.

On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.

Diagnoses and treats diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums, and related oral structures of inmate patients and employees injured as a result of TDCJ-. Insures that appropriate dental care is accessible and provided to the inmatepopulation in a timely fashion. Renders dental judgment regarding care provided to inmates assigned to the unit. Works under general direction of the Regional Dental Director, with wide latitude to exercise initiative and independent judgment.

Directly supervises2-4 dental hygienists in the unit dental services. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization'spolicies and applicable laws.

• Directly supervises dental staff and provides dentalservices.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include providing chairside dental care,training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; assistin appraising performance; encouraging dental staff, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Travel may be required to perform chairside dentistry at other units as assigned.

Current license to practice dentistry by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners required. Current Drug Enforcement Agencycontrolled substances registration certificate required.

• One year of experience preferred, but not required.
