Construction Manager / Superintendent
Valor Communities is an industry-leading home builder with more than 20 new home communities across Huntsville, Birmingham, Panama City Beach, Gulf Shores, and Atlanta. We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Superintendent to oversee residential construction projects and ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
Position OverviewThe Construction Manager / Superintendent is responsible for managing day-to-day construction operations, coordinating trades, maintaining quality standards, and delivering homes that meet Valor Communities’ expectations for excellence.
Qualifications- 5+ years of construction management or superintendent experience or a relevant degree
- Strong knowledge of residential construction processes
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple homes and schedules simultaneously
- Manage daily construction activities and schedules
- Walk homes daily to monitor progress, quality, and safety
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, builders, selections coordinators, trade contractors, suppliers, and clients regarding plan revisions and change orders
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Schedule and coordinate municipal inspections
- Communicate and enforce company safety programs with employees and trade contractors
- Direct and guide field employees, trade contractors, and suppliers
- Assist trade contractors when necessary to keep projects on schedule
- Implement and enforce quality control standards, striving for no-defect construction
- Keep builders and project managers informed of production status
- Update construction schedules and produce weekly production reports
- Coordinate material orders and deliveries to ensure timely availability
- Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries
- Review vendor and trade contractor invoices and authorize payment
- Communicate with customers on job sites and address questions or concerns
- Conduct pre-closing walk-throughs with customers and coordinate punch-list completion with the warranty team
Total Compensation: $65,000 – $100,000 (based on experience)
