OverviewUUV Technician Operator, Mid. Support the Navy's Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) systems, as well as variants of these systems, by maintaining, operating, and providing test support. Perform routine and advanced corrective maintenance actions in support of research, development, testing, and evaluation (RDT&E) engineering changes. Assist with the development of mission planning and post-mission analysis. Assist the Test Director in performing in-water tests of systems and support equipment.
Guide Navy members in the use of these systems as a result of engineering and software changes.
- Perform routine and advanced corrective maintenance on UUVs or USVs and their associated support equipment
- Install and test engineering changes on UUVs or USVs and their associated support equipment
- Troubleshoot and correct mechanical, electrical, and software problems on UUVs or USVs
- Plan and execute UUVs or USVs mission plans, including performing post-mission analysis (PMA)
- Operate UUVs or USVs at sea or on the water
- Work with Navy maintenance practices and read and critique Navy Technical Manuals
- Read and redline Naval and commercial engineering drawings
- Interface with stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Navy Fleet activities to coordinate and safely test and operate UUVs and USVs
- Maintain secret clearance
- Hold a high school diploma or GED
- Experience performing routine and advanced maintenance on various UUV variants
- Experience operating UUV variants
- Bachelor's degree
- Completion of UUV Advanced Maintenance Training Courses

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,300.00 to $ (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
