Accelint is a mission-driven technology company focused on strengthening national security and supporting critical industries. We build the technologies that help operators and organizations see what's happening, make faster and better decisions, take action with confidence, and stay ready for what comes next. Our work includes advanced sensors, autonomous systems, mission command and control software, AI-enabled training and simulation, and tools that improve logistics, maintenance, and overall readiness.

For nearly 30 years we have supported military and civilian agencies across the Department of Defense, U.S. allies and partners, and essential industries. When you join Accelint, your work directly contributes to protecting national security and strengthening the systems our society depends on.

The Electronic Technician performs hands-on assembly, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of unmanned surface vessels to ensure mission readiness, operational reliability, and safe deployment. This role supports rapid prototyping, production surge, and field sustainment of low-cost, modular USVs in maritime autonomy programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, inspect, and certify wire harnesses and cable assemblies in accordance with IPC-620 and program quality standards, including crimping, soldering, shielding termination, labeling, and strain relief installation.
  • Assemble and wire electrical LRUs (Line Replaceable Units) including control panels, power distribution modules, radio enclosures, network assemblies, and sensor interface boxes per engineering drawings and build-to-print documentation.
  • Perform detailed continuity, insulation resistance, and pinout verification using multimeters, hipot testers (as applicable), and harness test equipment prior to platform integration.
  • Conduct bench-level functional checkouts of LRUs, including power-on verification, voltage validation, signal integrity checks, and interface validation before release to integration.
  • Interpret wiring schematics, harness drawings, and BOMs to independently execute cable builds and LRU assembly with minimal supervision.
  • Perform cable routing preparation and harness kitting, ensuring assemblies are integration-ready and properly labeled for installation teams.
  • Identify and document discrepancies during build and checkout; redline drawings and provide feedback to engineering for configuration updates.
  • Support failure analysis and rework activities, including depinning, connector replacement, harness repair, and corrective action implementation.
  • Maintain configuration control and as-built documentation, test records, and inspection sign-offs.
  • Support integration team during final install, assisting with troubleshooting but primarily ensuring electrical assemblies are verified prior to installation into the hull.
  • Ensure strict compliance with program quality requirements, ESD handling procedures, and safety standards.
  • Assemble and outfit USV hulls with power, navigation, communication, and payload systems per engineering drawings and build-to-print specifications.
Qualifications
  • Technical diploma, associate's degree, or equivalent in marine technology, electromechanics, electronics, or related field.
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification (current or ability to obtain upon hire) required; J-STD-001 certification a plus
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with vessel assembly, marine electronics, or unmanned systems (USV/UUV/UAV preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience fabricating and inspecting cable assemblies and harnesses for marine or defense applications.
  • Proficiency with electrical/mechanical tools, wiring, soldering, torque tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Familiarity with maritime systems, autonomy stacks, COTS integration, and open-architecture platforms.
  • Ability to work in shipyard, pier-side, and at-sea environments; physical capability for lifting, climbing, and confined spaces.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail; basic computer proficiency (MS Office, ticketing systems).
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance required.
Clearance Requirements

Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information.
