Internship - Engineering

Description

NSI has an opportunity for an Engineering Intern to join our team supporting key initiatives. The Engineering Intern will support ongoing projects and daily engineering operations under the guidance of senior engineers and team leads. This role offers hands‑on experience, exposure to real‑world engineering challenges, and opportunities to develop technical and professional skills.

• Assist engineers with design, development, testing, and documentation of products, systems, or components.
• Perform data collection, analysis, and reporting to support project requirements.
• Create and update technical drawings, models, or specifications using applicable software tools. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as manufacturing, quality, product development, or operations.
• Participate in troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and process improvement activities.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Support prototype builds, laboratory testing, or field evaluations as needed.
• Follow all safety, quality, and compliance guidelines.

Panama City Beach, FL

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, industrial, or related field).

Basic understanding of engineering principles and problem‑solving methodologies. Familiarity with relevant software tools (e.g., CAD, MATLAB, Python, Excel). Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with guidance.

Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
