LCAC 100 Program
The Prototype Engineer will be responsible for the planning and test support of the U.S. Navy’s Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) program on-base. This position will complete trials, evaluations, tests and data collection for the unit.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Manage and be responsible for the testing, trials and evaluations onsite
- In charge of all model/prototype fabrication and testing
- Ensure and deliver successful shock/vibration testing
- Conduct all required and relevant data testing and reporting
- Develop and maintain professional, results-oriented relationships that strengthen FWG’s reputation and support positive outcomes through documented communication, timely response, and issue resolution
- Support special studies and prototype validation
- Conduct deficiency correction and final test documentation
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and mission focus across the team
- Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Test/Evaluation, Systems Engineering or other related field
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Eight to ten plus (8-10) years of experience in similar positions
- Knowledge and experience with test planning, data analysis and instrumentation
- Significant prototype experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to hold yourself and others accountable on short-term and long-term goals
- Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- High level problem-solving and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Project management principles and practices
- Ability to work with various levels of personnel including senior leadership
- Use of Microsoft Office software applications to include Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Ability to work onsite 5 days per week with additional hours, as required
- Some travel, as required by operational needs
